This has been a special Saturday, the 8th of May, with Ameliabefana visiting in Turin and knitting with her and Knitaly at Palazzo Madama.

New version of Anna's Wrap

I have knitted a new-modified version of Anna's Wrap. I used a Habu fiber (thank you Azzuka ) mixed to a really thin black mohair, that I have inserted after 30 rows to show the effect of the different fibers. I knitted the front sides double the length written on the pattern for a more drapy effect, so I can put one side on my shoulder. It is too hot now to wear it (hot spring has arrived), I can't wait for September to be here.

Ho realizzato una nuova versione modificata dell'Anna's Wrap. Ho usato un filato di Habu (grazie Azzuka ) mescolandolo a un mohair sottilissimo nero, che ho inserito dopo 30 giri per evidenziare la diversa matericità dei filati. Ho lavorato le parti davanti il doppio della lunghezza scritta nelle istruzioni per ottenere un effetto più drappeggiato e, così, riesco a portare una parte sulla spalla opposta. Ora che è arrivata la vera calda primavera non riesco a metterlo, dovrò aspettare le temperature più fresche di settembre.

Like a princess-ballerina

Matilde fell in love with this pink unknow fiber I had found in an outlet since I had brought it at home. And she wanted so much a wrap for the spring...and since she is so slender... I casted on 45 stitches and in one evening I knitted her tiny version of the Anna's Wrap. Now she feels like a princess-ballerina.

Matilde si è innamorata da subito di questo filato rosa di composizione sconosciuta che avevo trovato in un outlet. Era da un po' che mi chiedeva un coprispalle per la primavera...ed essendo così minuta... ho messo sui ferri 45 maglie e in una sera ho realizzato la sua mini versione dell'Anna's Wrap. Ora si sente una principessa-ballerina.

New Pattern- Nuovo modello - New Picture - Nuova foto

The first picture is of a new pattern I have been working on, the Wrapigan (thank you Azzuka for the name's suggestion). I had it in my mind for a while and then one day I just started knitting and knitting, with the beautiful Grignasco Tango in a color which I adore (and the funny thing is that when I bought it I wasn't that sure about it). And then I found an incredible big purple button, perfect for the final effect of this garment. Now I am testing the pattern (and yes, I am happy to say that I will be knitting myself another Wrapigan, this time in cotton for the spring-summer) and then I will add the pattern to the free list.

The second picture is of the Rosa's Sleeveless Cardi-Jumper, the one I have knitted for the summer. This is the first image of me wearing it and now I am only hoping in better weather so I can use it:)

La prima foto è di un nuovo modello su cui sto lavorando, il Wrapigan (grazie Azzuka per avermi consigliato questo nome). Era da un po' che mi frullava nella testa e poi un giorno ho solo iniziato a lavorare a maglia, senza sosta, con l'incredibile lana Tango della Grignasco in questo bellissimo colore (e pensare che quando l'ho scelto non ne ero tanto sicura e ora l'adoro). Poi un giorno ho trovato un grande bottone viola, perfetto per l'effetto finale di questo indumento. Ora sto testando il pattern e sono felice di dire che così potrò farmi un altro Wrapigan, questa volta in cotone per la primavera-estate. Poi aggiungerò il modelllo alla mia lista dei free pattern.

La seconda foto mi ritrae mentre indosso il Rosa's Sleeveless Cardi-Jumper, quello cho ho realizzato per l'estate e ora devo solo sperare in temperature più calde per poterlo indossare.

Cotton Caponcho - Caponcho in cotone

And this is the other Rosa's Caponcho I have knitted in the past month, sure that in the beginning of May I could wear it. I have finished two weeks ago, but it has been so rainy that I haven't been able to take a picture of it until today.

I have added a border knitted with a variegated cotton with the same base of blue, to give to it some light and movement. I am really happy about it and it is perfect with the skirt I have realized for the video tutorial (the long one).

I am having so much fun creating garments for the spring and I can't wait to wear them.

E questo è l'altro Rosa's Caponcho che ho realizzato in cotone nell'ultimo mese, sicura di poterlo indossare all'inizio di maggio, ma in realtà non sono neanche riuscita a fotografarlo sino a oggi per le giornate grigie e uggiose.

Ho aggiunto un bordo lavorato con un cotone variegato con la stessa base di blu, per dargli luce e movimentarlo. Mi piace molto ed è perfetto con la gonna lunga che ho realizzato per il video tutorial.

Mi sto divertendo a creare indumenti per la primavera e non vedo l'ora di poterli indossare.

Waiting for spring - Aspettando la primavera

It is raining, it has been raining for the past weeks, with that soft sound of water pouring and pouring. I feel like spring and summer, with higher temperatures...so I started to knit a cotton version of the Rosa's Caponcho, in a silver grey color. And I can imagine myself walking by the seaside in the sunset, with a dress and my Rosa's Caponcho....but I am wearing a nice wool shawl right now to keep me warm.

Sta piovendo, ha piovuto interrottamente per settimane, con quel rumore dolce dello scrosciare dell'acqua. Ho voglia di primavera ed estate, con temperature più miti...così ho realizzato una versione del Rosa's Caponcho in cotone, con un colore grigio argentato. E posso immaginarmi in una serata d'estate in spiaggia al tramonto, con un vestito e il mio Rosa's Caponcho...ma al momento sto indossando uno scialle di lana per riscaldarmi.
