We had a sunny Spring day: so some of the knitters went outside and started knitting in the garden by the shade of the trees...unforgettable:)))

Era una giornata veramente primaverile: alcune delle knitters sono andate a lavorare a maglia in giardino all'ombra degli alberi...indimenticabile:)))

Warmer days - Giornate più calde

Warmer days...almost too hot for this period of the year...I must confess that I love cooler weather and warm fibers...but this morning I looked in the closet for my late Spring clothes, as these Panta India (my favorite summer pants) and my light Chele.

Giornata più calde...quasi troppo calde per questo periodo dell'anno...devo confessare che amo temperature più fredde e le fibre più calde...ma questa mattina ho cercato nell'armadio i vestiti che di solito uso in tarda primavera, come questi Panta India (i miei pantaloni preferiti in estate) e il mio Chele leggero.

But I am still working on my woolen wips and the other evening I found out that it can be relaxing to knit sleeves in the round when one is very tired...I  followed a movie and I felt at the same time that my hands were being productive ...so I almost finished one sleeve in these days...but if the temperatures stay as they are I will wear my longer Rama in September:))

Ma sto ancora lavorando sui miei progetti in corso di lana e l'altra sera ho scoperto che può essere veramente rilassante lavorare le maniche in tondo quando si è molto stanchi...ho seguito un film e ho sentito allo stesso tempo che le mie mani erano produttive ...così in questi giorni ho quasi finito una manica ...ma se le temperature continueranno a essere così alte indosserò il mio Rama lungo a settembre:))

Pink and its shades - Il rosa e le sue sfumature

I never thought that pink and its different shades could be one of my colors...

I was a teenager wearing black and dark colors, looking for my inner self nature and experimenting with my artistic talents and great academic achievements (I loved to study and spend hours on my books or painiting all night)...always feeling somewhere in between...and changing hair color almost every month (from blond to black...ending up sometimes with green shades because I dyed it too many times)...

Now pink is one of my favorite colors...I must confess that I started considering it when the girls where born...my dear friends for my 40's birthday gave me a lot of pink gifts which I adore... and I feel good wearing pink:))

Non avrei mai pensato che il rosa e le sue diverse sfumature potesse essere uno dei miei colori...

Ero una ragazza che indossava solo il nero e i colori scuri, alla ricerca della mia vera natura sperimentando con i miei talenti artistici e i miei ottimi risultati accademici (amavo studiare e passare ore sui libri o nottate a dipingere)...sempre sentendomi nel mezzo...e cambiando colore dei capelli ogni mese (dal biondo al nero...arrivando ad avere a volte delle sfumature verdi per aver fatto troppo colori sovrapposti)...

Ora il rosa è uno dei miei colori preferiti...devo confessare che ho iniziato a considerarlo quando sono nate le ragazze...le mie care amiche mi hanno fatto un sacco di regali rosa per i miei 40 anni e li aforo...e mi sento bene indossando il rosa:))

Yarn Shopaholic - Acquisti d'impulso lanosi

 

I must confess that I don't feel that guilty for being a yarn shopaholic...it actually makes me happy....knowing that somewhere hidden in my stash there is always a treasure, as these Habu skeins (silk stainless, cotton Gima and silk mohair kusa)...I had bought them 2 years and half ago and it is almost time to use them.

It is true, fibers and knitting are my true passions, and my stash makes me happy:)))

Devo confessare che non mi sento in colpa per i miei acquisti d'impulso lanosi...mi rende felice...sapere che da qualche parte nascosto nel mio stash c'è sempre un tesoro, come queste matasse dell'Habu (silk stainless, cotton Gima e silk mohair kusa)...le avevo comprate circa due anni e mezzo fa ed è quasi arrivato il momento di usarle.

E' vero, le fibre e il lavoro a maglia sono le mie vere passioni, e il mio stash mi rende felice:)))

Kal for Cuore di Maglia

 

Cuore di Maglia is in need of Cocoons for Preemies:)) With a hole in the bottom for intensive therapy tubes. 

I have created for a dear friend who will be mother for the second time in these days a Cocoon and I have thought to transfrom it also in a size suitable for Preemies and to organize a Kal in the Group Kal from Italy to help CdM and the little ones: It is a free pattern and you can find it here:) And the Kal here:)

Cuore di Maglia ha bisogno di sacchi nanna per i cuccioli:)) Con il foro in fondo per i tubi della terapia intensiva.

Ho creato per una carissima amica che deve partorire in questi giorni un sacco nanna e ho pensato di trasformarlo anche in taglia prematuri con foro e di organizzare un kal nel Gruppo Kal from Italy su Raverly per aiutare CdM e i suoi cuccioli:) Il pattern è gratuito e lo potete trovare qui:) E il Kal qui:)

Girls and cowls - le ragazze e i colli

 

I had bought this little knitting "machine" years ago, but never actually used it since I didn't feel the same satisfactions and happiness while using it as knitting with needles. One day, when the little  one was home sick, I took it out and gave it to her with some balls of yarn.
She totally fell in love with it and she started making cowls for her friends:) She adores it and she keeps making cowls...I should look up for other ideas for projects so she could start making other things...

Avevo comprato questa maglieria magica qualche anno fa, ma non l'ho mai usata perchè non mi da le stesse soddisfazioni e gioia come invece mi da il lavoro a maglia con i ferri. Un giorno, quando la piccola è stata a casa perchè malata, l'ho tirata fuori e gliel'ho data con dei gomitoli di lana. Se ne è totalmente innamorata e ha iniziato a fare colli per tutti i suoi amici:) La adora e continua a fare colli...dovrei cercare altre idee-progetto così che possa iniziare a fare anche altre cose....
