Another Mormor Shawl

I have knitted another Mormor's Shawl for Christams and this time I used an incredible Kauni with soft and delicate shades.

Let's hope that the little package will travel through Europe in a couple of days. Otherwise, it will become a gift for the New Year.

Ne ho fatto un altro per Natale e ho usato una meravigliosa lana Kauni con sfumature delicatissime e morbide.

Speriamo che il pacchettino attraversi l'Europa in pochissimo tempo e che arrivi prima di Natale. Al massimo diventerà un augurio per il nuovo anno.

Mormor's Shawl for Christmas

I knitted another Mormor's Shawl and I am trying to be ready for all the Christmas gifts I want to knit. I am really enjoying this pattern, but this time I made some changes, inspired by those made by Azzuka . I didn't knit all the decorative Yos in the body of the shawl and then, for the border, I knitted twice the Yos border (I experimented this border on the one I had knitted in Bretagne during the summer, with pink Kauni yarn - there I knitted the Yos border for three times).

Ho realizzato un altro Mormor's Shawl, sto tentando di essere preparata per tutti i regali di Natale che voglio preparare. Questa volta ho fatto delle modifiche, ispirandomi a quelle di Azzuka , quindi eliminando tutti i gettati decorativi e lavorando due volte il bordo di gettati (avevo provato questo bordo durante l'estate in Bretagna, con la lana Kauni rosa - li avevo lavorato per tre volte il bordo di gettati).

Today I wanted to organize everything, the house, my work-space, my hobby...everything... at the end it has been a long day and I have managed to set only my beloved needles in their new ceramic artistic mug....

Oggi volevo organizzare tutto, la casa, il mio spazio lavorativo, il mio hobby...tutto..veramente tutto...ma alla fine, dopo una giornata intensa sono solo riuscita a sistemare i miei adorati ferri nel loro nuovo artistico contenitore di porcellana....

One day we were talking about some ideas while drinking a cup of coffee and the next day there we were actually working on it (Cristiana, Laura, and me). Unique creativity and organization (thank you Cristiana), words like poetry pouring out a pen and pure artistic -sensibility (that is Laura), phone calls and e-mails, meetings and testing, talking about yarn and patterns. The best of times.

It is a booklet of 11 patterns created by ourselves and with the partecipation of the designer Giuliano Marelli (2 patterns). You will find all the information here (Cuore di Maglia).

In January there will be also an English version.

Un giorno chiacchieravamo al bar e il giorno dopo eravamo già operative (Cristiana, Laura e la sottoscritta). Creatività e organizzazione straordinarie (grazie Cristiana), parole poetiche e pura sensibilità aritistica (Laura), telefonate, mail, incontri, prove, chiacchierate su gomitoli e modelli. Quanto ci siamo divertite!
