Clogs and books - Zoccoli e libri

 

I must confess that I have on obsession with clogs, since I was a child. They were my summer shoes. We used to spend our summers at my gradparents's house in Sweden, we travelled by car for two days driving through Europe and there was one thing that was a must for the first day: buy my new Swedish summer clogs. I would wear them all day long, in all occasions, feeling special and happy.

And now I am a woman with an obsession with clogs, I love them, I would buy them in all colors and every time there is a new detail that I notice...my passion for clogs...

And I love books, they are an important part of my life, my companions thorugh many adventures, some are on my bedside table because they have taught me so much and I want them to be a reminder to me...

I am going to start to read a new book that has captured my attention on Amazon while searching for new books...Zen and the Art of Knitting by Bernadette Murphy...I am going to start reading it tonight...

Devo confessare di avere un'ossessione per gli zoccoli, da quando ero piccola. Erano le mie scarpe estive. Passavamo le nostre vacanze estive a casa dei nonni svedesi, attraversando l'Europa in macchina in due giorni ed c'era una cosa importantissima che dovevo fare il primo giorno: comprare i miei nuovi zoccoli svedesi per l'estate. Li indossavo tutto il giorno, in tutte le occasioni, sentendomi speciale e felice. 

E ora sono una donna ossessionata dagli zoccoli, li adoro, li comprereri di tutti i colori e ogni volta noto un nuovo particolare...la mia passione per gli zoccoli...

E amo i libri, sono una parte importante della mia vita, i miei compagni in molte avventure, alcuni sono sul mio comodino perché mi hanno insegnato tanto e voglio che me lo ricordino...

Sto iniziando a leggere un nuovo libro che ha catturato la mia attenzione mentre sfogliavo titoli su Amazon alla ricerca di nuovi libri....Zen and the art of Knitting by Bernadette Murphy...inizierò stasera...

I am happy it’s still cold outside, I am really enjoying wearing these knitted skirts…they are cozy and warm, elegant and comfortable at the same time:)
I am wondering about a cotton Oltremare for spring…let’s see…in some months I might knit one…

Sono felice che faccia ancora freddo, mi sto veramente divertendo a indossare queste gonne realizzate a maglia...sono comode e calde, eleganti e confortevoli allo stesso tempo:)

Sto meditando a una versione in cotone di Oltremare per la primavera...vedremo...tra alcuni mesi potrei realizzarne una...

The math in patterns - la matematica dei modelli

 

There is a lot of math in patterns and in developing sizes and I must confess that I like a lot this part too.

After the moment of pure creativity, where I can see the design or the idea coming to life, I have to sit down with paper and pencil and check with numbers if everything that I had in mind is possible.

Sometimes it's like magic and everything works from the first time, other time it's necessary to change a little bit the original idea, but than when at the end everything works out it is true joy.

C'è molta matematica dietro a un modello e nello sviluppo taglie e devo confessare che mi piace molto anche questa parte. Dopo il momento di pura creatività, dove posso vedere il design o l'idea prendere vita, devo sedermi con carta e matita a controllare con i numeri se tutto ciò che avevo in mente sia possibile.

A volte come per magia tutto funziona da subito, altre volte è necessario cambiare un po' l'idea originale, ma poi quando tutto funziona è pura gioia.

We are family - Siamo una famiglia

Yesterday my little one asked me why we never exchange gifts on Valentine's Day...

"Our love is the most incredible gift that we can give to each other".

It's true, I have been lucky, I have met the most incredible and unique person 21 years ago (that is some time ago) and ever since he has been my love, my best friend, the special person I want to stay with.

We have decided to walk through the paths of our lives hand in hand and to have two lovely daughters, the light of our days, and to be there for each other in the bad and good moments.

We do argue, as it is normal in daily life, but there is that profound bonding that keeps us together and gives us the willingness to stay together...we are family:)

Ieri la piccola mi ha chiesto perché non ci scambiamo mai dei regali il giorno di San Valentino...

"Il nostro amore è il regalo più incredibile che ci possiamo scambiare".

E' vero, sono stata fortunata, ho incontrato la persona più speciale e unica 21 anni fa (è passato un po' di tempo) e da allora lui è il mio amore, il mio migliore amico, la persona speciale con cui voglio stare.

Abbiamo deciso di camminare lungo il cammino delle nostre vite mano nella mano e di avere due meravigliose figlie, la luce dei nostri giorni, e di esserci l'uno per l'altra nei momenti belli e nei momenti brutti. 

Discutiamo, come è normale che sia nella vita quotidiana, ma c'è quel profondo legami che ci lega e ci dona la voglia di stare insieme ...siamo una famiglia:)

A unique day - Una giornata unica

 

What an incredible and special day: shooting day for the new GrignascoKnits book:)

Cristiana and I have been working on the desgins and patterns for some months now. It has been really wonderful to see them come alive during the shooting, worn by the beautiful and special model, seen through the eye of the photographer in a unique location.

And I had the best of time styling everything, coordinating all the color details and combinations..a day to remember:)

Thank you everybody for so many incredible emotions:)

Ieri è stata una giornata veramente speciale: il servizio fotografico per il nuovo libro di GrignascoKnits:)

Cristiana ed io stiamo lavorando da mesi sui modelli ed è stato meraviglioso vederli prendere vita durante il servizio fotografico, indossati dalla bellissima e speciale modella, visti attraverso l'occhio del fotografo in una location unica.

Ed è stato bellissimo occuparsi di tutto lo styling, coordinare tutti i dettagli dei colori e abbinamenti...una giornata da ricordare:) 

Grazie a tutti per tutte le meravigliose emozioni:)
