Happiness: what is happiness for me?

Last night I fell asleep thinking about this...

looking at my girls, seeing them grow, being with DH, spending some lovely hours with my dear friends, receiving some unexpected flowers from a friend, knitting some rows on my projects, feeling I am living fully the moment, looking at my parents in health, waking up to a new day, looking at the moon at night, watching a sunset, following the clouds in the sky...happiness for me is in the simplest things of life:)

Felicità: cos'è per me la felicità?

Ieri sera mi sono addormentata con questo pensiero...

guardare le mie ragazze, vederle crescere, stare con il dolce maritino, passare delle ore piacevoli con le mie care amiche, ricevere dei fiori inaspettati da un'amica, lavorare qualche ferro al mio progetto, sentire che sto vivendo il momento, vedere i miei genitori in salute, svegliarmi a un nuovo giorno, vedere la luna la sera, guardare un tramonto, seguire le nuvole nel cielo...per me la felicità è nelle cose semplici della vita:)

Matilde's Vest - new pattern

And I am so much in love with this vest that I have already knitted another one:)) This one a little bit longer, by adding a body repetition.

E ne sono così innamorata che ne ho già realizzato un altro:)) Questa volta un po' più lungo, aggiungendo una ripetitizione nella parte del corpo.

And I am already casting on the third one:)))

E sto già avviando il terzo:)))

I have had this incredible yarn in my stash for a while, I had fallen in love with the color but I hadn’t found the right project ….last night I was looking for a skein in my stash…when I saw it I decided that this was the right project:))) And the perfect color for Spring:)

Per un po' questa meravigliosa lana aspettava il suo progetto perfetto, l'avevo comprata un po' di tempo fa totalmente innamorata del colore...ieri sera stavo cercando un gomitolo nello stash...quando l'ho vista ho deciso che il progetto perfetto era questo:))) Ed è un colore perfetto per la primavera:)

Easter WS - WS di Pasqua

 

 I am so excited about the Easter WS at Unfilodi:))

On the 31st of March we will work with these incredible and special fibers: Tosh Merino Light by Madelinetosh, Savannah by The Fibre Company, and Silk Garden Light by Noro. And I know there are many other novelties to discover.

This is the first hint, everything else will be a surprise:))

Lulù has a wonderful taste for colors and for selecting the most unique and special fibers around the world. Her taste and her research bring her to discover and choose yarns that are true joy to knit. 

Sono emozionatissima per il WS di Pasqua da Unfilodi:))

Il 31 marzo lavoreremo con queste meravigliose fibre: Tosh Merino Light di Madelinetosh, Savannah di The Fibre Company, and Silk Garden Light di Noro. E so che ci saranno tante altre novità da scoprire.

Questo è il primo indizio, tutto il resto sarà una sorpresa:))

Lulù ha un gusto incredibile per i colori e la selezione delle fibre più uniche e speciali al mondo. Il suo gusto e la sua ricerca la portano a scoprire filati che sono pura gioia da lavorare.

Totallly facinated - Totalmente affascinata

 

Wow...last night it was really late when I went to bed (I also started very late, a very hectic and busy day), but I am totally facinated by the Contiguous Method   created by SusieM and last night I couldn't stop knitting the Argo Cardigan by Svetlana Volkova. I will need more coffee today, but I am so happy about my knitting:))

Wow...ieri sera era molto molto tardi quando sono andata a dormire (ho anche iniziato molto tardi, dopo una giornata intensa e frenetica), ma sono totalmente affascinata dalla Tecnica Contiguous di SusieM e ieri sera non potevo smettere di lavorare al cardigan Argo di Svetlana Volkova. Avrò bisogno di più caffè oggi, ma sono veramente felice del mio lavoro a maglia:))

A special yarn bowl

Yesterday I felt like a little child waiting for her special gift:) I knew it was supposed to arrive during the day in the mail...a special package from Trieste, from Bubiknits:))

And it did:))) I am so happy about my new yarn bowl, I love it:))) When the girls came home and saw it, they were amazed by its beauty as I was.

And now it is on my working desk with my latest knitting project:)))

Thank you Bubiknits also for the two balls of red Merino that you have added to the package:)))

Ieri mi sentivo come una bambina in attesa del suo regalo speciale:) Sapevo che sarebbe dovuto arrivare nell'arco della giornata con la posta...un pacchetto speciale da Trieste,

Ed è arrivato:))) Sono così felice della mia nuova ciotola porta lana, l'adoro:))) Quando sono arrivate anche le ragazze e l'hanno vista, erano meravigliate quanto me dalla sua bellezza.

E ora è sul mio tavolo del lavoro con il mio ultimo progetto ai ferri:)))

Needle points - punte dei ferri

Needle points: so vital and so important:) I love the wooden ones, I feel them to be softer, especially when I knit a lot. The metal ones are smoother, perfect for hairy fibers and they never break...oh yes, sometimes I break the wooden ones when I carry them around with me in my project bag...once I even put a knee on one point I had on a sofa...I have learned to wrap them up in the project, I feel that this way they are more protected...

Le punte dei ferri: così vitali e importanti:) Adoro quelle in legno, le percepisco più morbide, specialmente quando lavoro tanto a maglia. Quelle di metallo sono più lisce, perfette per filati più pelosi e non si rompono mai...e già, ogni tanto rompo quelle di metallo quando le porto in giro nella mia borsa porta progetto...una volta ne ho rotta una che era sul divano con il mio ginocchio...ho imparato ad avvolgerle nel progetto, mi sembra che così siano più protette...

 

  

Yesterday I put some little flower plants by my window, it really feels like Spring is in the air:)))

Ieri ho messo delle piantine fiorite vicino alla finestra, così sembra che la primavera sia veramente arrivata:)))

Inspiration - Ispirazione

 

Often for my work I am supposed to create and to be inspired, but inspiration doesn't arrive on command...like...ok, it's 8 o'clock and I have to create a new design...

While looking for the right mood, I have to play with fabrics and fibers, see how colors can match and different design elements can work together...so I just start to work, cut, observe and play around...

It's funny. For example, while designing and creating a jacket, I made for myself this knitting set thank you to the playing creative process: a bag, a project bag and a needle case... and I am so happy about it:)) 

Ready for spring:))

Spesso per il mio lavoro devo essere creativa e ispirata, ma l'spirazione non arriva a comando...tipo...ok..sono le otto a devo creare un nuovo capo...

Mentre sono alla ricerca dello stato d'animo giusto, devo giocare con i tessuti e le fibre, vedere come i colori si possono abbinare e come diversi elementi si possono usare insieme...così inizio a lavorare, tagliare, osservare e giocherellare...

E' divertente. Per esempio, mentre dovevo creare e disegnare una giacca, ho realizzato per me stessa questo set per il lavoro a maglia grazie al processo creativo del gioco: una borsa, una borsa-porta-progetto e una busta per i ferri...e ne sono così felice:))

Sono pronta per la primavera:))
