Summer Book - English version ready

I am happy and proud to announce that the English Version of the Summer Book for Cuore di Maglia is now available here. It has been a great pleasure and honor working with my friend Knitaly at editing and writing the patterns.

Cuore di Maglia is a no-profit charity association, where the members hand-knit hats, covers and booties to give as a present to newborn premies hospitalized in Neonatal Intensive Care Units. You can find more information here.

Con orgoglio e gioia posso annunciare che è pronta le versione in inglese del Summer Book di Cuore di Maglia e che si trova qui. E' stato un piacere e un onore lavorare alla stesura e alla revisione dei modelli con la mia amica Knitaly.

Something special: Madelinetosh yarn

I came home the other day and a package from the USA was waiting for me. My Madelinetosh yarn had arrived and I just adore the shades of the natural colors. I have also bought the perfect pattern for it, the VineYoke Cardigan by Ysolda. I can't wait to start it. And the yarn is just incredible, so soft and special. This will be a really nice project to knit:)

L'altro giorno tornando a casa un pacchettino mi aspettava. Era arrivata la mia lana Madelinetosh e adoro le sue sfumature di toni naturali. Nel frattempo ho comprato anche le istruzioni per il progetto perfetto, il VineYoke Cardigan di Ysolda. Non vedo'l'ora di inisiziarlo con questa meravigliosa e morbidissima lana. Sarà bellissimo:)

New ideas - nuove idee

Ho voglia di lavorare a maglia, di realizzare ciò che sogno, nuove idee e pensieri, fili che creano forme e volumi.

Mi son fatta un regalo - a gift for myself

I needed to make a gift for myself, I needed to hug myself...so this morning I drove to Lana Gatto Outlet in Biella (Italy) and bought some beautiful yarn, mainly wool for the winter ( I know, now it is really hot and I am knitting only cotton), but coming home with two bags of incredible yarn at such a good price really makes me happy and now I can get back to work with a renewed spirit:)

Avevo bisogno di farmi un regalo, di coccolarmi...così questa mattina ho preso la macchina e sono andata sino allo Spaccio della Lana Gatto a Biella e ho comprato della meravigliosa lana (lo so che fa molto caldo e sto lavorando solo cotone), ma tornare a casa con due borse piene di lana preziosa a un prezzo incredibile mi ha reso felice e ora posso tornare al lavoro con uno spirito rinnovato:)

Wow

Wow...I have been knitting a lot in the past week, and I have been designing too...that's why I feel so happy and fulfilled...two new tops, one for Rachele and the other one for myself (I am testing the patterns right now) and then another huge Azzu's Shawl, in a green silk fiber, perfect for the cooler evenings by the seaside...wow...true happiness....

Wow...ho lavorato molto a maglia nell'ultima settima e ho anche creato nuovi modelli...forse sarà per questo che mi sento così felice e in pace...due nuovi top, uno per Rachele e uno per me (e ora sto testando le istruzioni) e un altro Azzu's Shawl gigante, in verde, per riscaldarmi le spalle nelle fresche serate al mare...wow...vera felicità...

My new FOs

I have been experimenting and I have been inspired by dear friends for the realization of my new FOs. First of all, I have knitted a huge Azzu's Shawl, thank you to her inspiration and her dedication to the shawls as a fashion trend for the summer (now she is letting her creativity free and is creating a beautiful Lau). I have knitted the pattern I have written, but I have used bigger needles (6,5 mm ) and 5 skeins of Melburry Silk by Laines du Nord. It is really huge and trendy, and I love it, I love it so much that I have started to knit a new one with the same needles but in a different color.

The second project, the Rosa's Sleeveless Cardi for the summer, is realized with Lin by La Droguerie (thank you Ameliabefana for letting me touch and see the fiber while you were in visit here in Turin).

Ultimamente ho sperimentato ispirata da care amiche. Prima di tutto, ho creato un immenso Azzu's Shawl, grazie a lei e alla sua sciallemania, alla sua dedizione agli scialli come trend per l'estate. Ora la musa ispiratrice ha lasciato libera la sua creatività e sta realizzando un meraviglioso Lau. Ho usato il pattern che ho scritto, ma ho usato dei ferri più grandi (6,5 mm) e 5 gomitoli di Melburry Silk di Laines du Nord. E' immenso e molto stiloso, e l'adoro, l'adoro così tanto che ne ho già iniziato un altro con gli stessi ferri ma in un colore diverso.

Il secondo progetto, il Rosa's Sleeveless Cardi per l'estate, è realizzato con il Lin di La Droguerie (e grazie Ameliabefana per avermelo fatto vedere e toccare quando sei venuta a Torino).
