Knitting projects for Christmas - I progetti a maglia per Natale

The last days before Christmas have been hectic and full of night knitting. I am happy, I finished all the planned projects...two Mar's Cowls (a tiny one for a little boy who is 15 months old and the other one for his father, matching his Mar's Hat I had already knitted in the previous weeks).

I also improvised, at the last moment, a ribbed hat for my daughters' cousin and I have knitted a little Urchin, by Ysolda, for Mati (she had fallen in love with the pink one I had knitted for myself).

Now I am ready to go on with new ideas and new projects:):):)

Gli ultimi giorni prima di Natale sono stati frenetici e le notti caratterizzate da poche ore di sonno. Sono felice, ho finito tutti i progetti che avevo programmato...due Mar's Cowl (uno piccolissimo, per un bimbo di 15 mesi e un altro per suo padre, che fa completino con il cappello Mar's Hat che gli avevo già preparato qualche settimana prima).

Ho anche improvvisato un cappellino a coste per il cuginetto delle bimbe e ho realizzato anche un piccolo Urchin per Mati (si era innamorata di quello rosa che mi ero fatta qualche settimana fa).

E ora sono pronta per nuove idee e nuovi progetti:):):)

Today, when I came home, the mailman had brought something special for me. Thank you Alessia:):) You are a very special and unique person, with a great heart, you have surprised me in an incredible way.

Alessia is an artist, she is a very talented jewelry maker, she is a designer, she is special. She had already made me cry, fufilled by emotions, by writing these words and dedicating to me one of her incredible creations, a shawl pin named Emma. And today I found an Emma in the mail:):)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have made me very, very, very happy.

Quando sono tornata a casa ho trovato un pacchettino ad aspettarmi, un pacchettino speciale. Grazie Alessia:):) Sei una persona speciale e unica, dolce e dal cuore d'oro. Mi hai fatto una sorpresa incredibile.

Alessia è un'artista, ha un talento indescrivible, crea gioielli indimenticabili, è una designer, è speciale. Mi aveva già fatto piangere, folgorata dalle emozioni scrivendo queste parole e dedicandmi una spilla per scialli, chiamandola Emma. E oggi ho trovato una Emma nella posta:):)

Grazie dal profondo del mio cuore, mi hai resa molto, molto, molto felice.

New Pattern - New Hat

It must be the chilly weather, it must be the Christmas atmosphere...it must be that I love hats...and I have been wanting a slouchy one for a while.

I have created this new pattern, the Felicità Slouchy Hat.

You can find it here and the pattern instructions are in English and in Italian.

My oldest daughter has taken the purple one, and I have kept the other one for myself ...

but I am planning to knit more hats in different colors. I love it:)

Sarà il freddo, sarà l'atmosfera natalizia...sarà che amo i cappelli...e che da un po' ne volevo uno ciondolante (slouchy).

Ho creato questo nuovo modello, il Felicità Slouchy Hat.

Quello viola l'ha subito voluto la mia grande, mentre l'altro è per me...

e ne sto già pensando altri in diversi colori. Mi piace troppo:)

Some new knits - nuovi progetti

Some new knits: the Urchin hat, I have been wanting to knit it for a while, then one evening, after reading a post she had written, I decided that it was time to cast on. I love it, my new hat for these cold days. And I like a lot the design created by the short rows. It is a quick and fun knit.

Christmas is almost here, and I have some more knitting to do...so I knitted another Mar's Cowl for a family friend:)

Alcuni nuovi progetti degli ultimi giorni: il cappello Urchin. Era da un po' che lo volevo realizzare, poi una sera, dopo aver letto un post scritto da lei

ho deciso che era arrivato il momento giusto. Mi piace molto, il mio nuovo cappello per queste giornate sempre più fredde. E mi piace molto il disegno creato dai ferri accorciati. E' un progetto veloce e divertente.

E Natale si avvicina e ho ancora diversi regali da realizzare...così ho knittato un altro

New Pattern - Felicità Cowl

I wanted a cowl to wear in these cool winter days with my Felicità Hat. And I enjoyed so much the pattern that I have created a Regular and a Wide Size:):) Now I already know to which friends of mine I will knit the cowl as a Christams gift, I just adore it:):)

And this time I have written both the English and Italian versions, right away:)

Volevo un collo da indossare con il mio Felicità Hat in queste fredde giornate invernali, e il modello mi è piaciuto così tanto che l'ho creato in due misure diverse: Regolare e Ampia:):) E so già a quali amiche lo knittero per Natale come regalo, lo adoro:):):)
